Normally I would do a step by step guide, but I am far enough along to make it too late for that. So I am doing a general guide on doing any scratch build of a BaneBlade class tank.
I will be using the StormHammer template made by: Steve Tid as the base, template can be found here or here. The template is lacking in detail and many of the guide lines that should have been added to the template to guide you on how the parts are to line up. It is also lacking any form of details so I am using jsvironfurnace's BainBlade template for general details, templates found here or here. For additional details I use Patoroch's baneblade template (as of right now I have yet to print his, but I already know I am going to use it for the barrels and perhaps the turret). His templates for the bainblade is in two parts (one for the baise and is interchangeable for tops for other variants which is the other part). They can be found here and here.
Because of the lack of tabs on the template I draw them on so that way I am less likely to cut them off or just forget about them. I just sketch them on and I don't cut right on that sketched line.
I also put waights in all the paperhammer 40k items because for me it give a better feel to the game, not to mention the last thing I want is for there to be a strong breaze to go across the table and move all my paper craft tanks. What I use is used hardware that I get from work that would otherwise be thrown out and I just glue them in place. If you are not lucky enough to have a situation like that, any type of scrap that has weight to it will work.
For the wheels on the tracks I have gotten one off of a 1/35 tank model for the main wheels.I use sculpey for the the mold and the mold release is the baby powder or talcum powder.
