RoboTech RPG Tactics

Well it has been a long while since my last post, and since I am having issues making a good post on Facebook, plus a blog seems to work better at being public to all as well as works better for archival (without things getting lost).

Anyway the other day I, finally, played the RoboTech RPG Tactics table top game for the first time. We played at Ghost Quarter Games. The fist scenario out of the book we didn't take photos. The second scenario I will give a short battle report. My wife and I played Zentradi and had a couple friends play Earth Defense Force.

The scenario is to have the Zentradi get five battle pods to the opposing players table edge while the EDF attempts to defend. EDF won the initiative. So EDF deployed outside potential line of sight. Zentradi forces placed all the battle pods as close as we could to the forward edge of our deployment zones

End of round one EDF attempted to eliminate a couple of units, with no luck. The Zentradi boosted what movement we could. We where going for a rush for the table edge strategy and if we could get into a good position to make a good shot then fine, but not to sacrifice the movement to make the shot.

End of round two EDF eliminated five battle pods, but put one Valkyrie in a not so good spot. So when it came the the Zentradi's turn we lit it up. Otherwise Zentradi moved what it could.

End of round three, the EDF eliminated one battle pod. Then during the Zentradi's players turn successfully made five battle pods to the table edge with one still on the table and the Zentradi forces eliminated one Valkyrie.

My overall impression of the game is that I do like how it plays and will be planning on playing it some more in the future. I hope to be able to continue to make battle reports for events like this.
